School opens September 6
Ellery School will open Tuesday, September 6, with 38 pupils expected in the grade school and 41 in high school. The school will have a hot lunch this year for the first time, served in the old gym. Bus routes are the same as last year.
Moving away
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Moe and their daughter Ruthie, eight, moved last week to Great Falls, where Mr. Moe has work at a lumber yard. Ruthie would have been in the third grade.
Mrs. Clara Brekke has sold her house and moved to Havre to be near her daughter.
4-H
Ellery 4-H at the fair
Ellery's 4-H members brought home eleven blue ribbons from the county fair. Kathy Nygaard's Hereford steer was named reserve champion.
