New pastor for Ellery Lutheran
Ellery Lutheran Church will install its new pastor, the Reverend Gene Albright, at the service Sunday morning, with a potluck dinner after in the church basement. Pastor Albright, 24, graduated from seminary in St. Paul this spring. Ellery is his first call. The congregation has been without a pastor since spring.
Around town
Harvest nearly done
Most farmers around Ellery expect to finish combining this week. Yields are better than last year, and the elevator has been running late every night.
