Fair results
Ellery 4-H members took nine blue ribbons at the county fair last week. Emily Nygaard's market lamb was grand champion and sold for $4.10 a pound.
Moving away
Nell Kurtz, who has run Kurtz Bakery since her mother Hilde retired in 1983, left this week for Seattle. Pat Lindgren will keep the bakery open, with the same hours, and says the cardamom bread is staying.
The Arlen Fjeld family has moved to Minot.
